Black Tomato Gin

Black Tomato Gin is an innovative Premium Gin and the first in the world distilled from black tomatoes. The balance between sweet and savory is beautifully in harmony. The used botanicals are classified. It is known that hand-grown black tomatoes and a few drops of salt water from the Oosterschelde are used. The taste of the tomato and the salty taste are subtly combined with dark fruit and a little bit of smoky.

The story

Black Tomato Gin is from Dutch production and made from organic black tomatoes from Sicily. A gin with a unique taste. A product that fits every assortment. The gin has a clear nose of tomato and a nice full, soft and round taste. The tomatoes are soaked and the liquid is distilled in a copper pot. The dark pigments are called anthocyanins, a type of phytonutrient or plant compound praised for its potential disease-fighting benefit.

Black Tomato Gin is distilled in one of the oldest family distilleries in the Netherlands. This distillery was founded in 1777 and is known for its tradition and high quality craftsmanship. For more than 225 years, the distillery in Schiedam has distilled its own genevers and gins in small copper pot stills. Our gin is distilled with Sicilian black tomatoes, with purified salt water from the Oosterschelde, the largest wet nature reserve, and with a hint of juniper. This creates a fascinating balance of sweet and savory flavor, and we recommend serving it with a neutral tonic and fresh basil.
